Snakes Reserve, Jamieson Vic

Another 4 day long weekend over Australia day camping @ Snakes reserve with Hutchie + Wendy, Keith + Bronny and Malcolm + Nikki we arrived late morning and set up in 30+deg temp, was a hot weekend forecasted and hot as it turned out.

A quick dinner, drinks, laughs and bed around 10pm. Woke Friday to the sound of the river flowing and a breakfast of bacon and Eggs, and a day of nothing other than getting some ice as we had battery problems with the camper, dog in the river and early happy hour, roast dinner and drinks. A fair downpour overnight certainly made a difference with the temp albeit momentarily

Saturday drove to a town called “Woods Point” to have a Pub feed for lunch only to find out no dogs allowed so back to camp for lunch and the afternoon in the river with chairs and drinks and another downpour in the afternoon weather cleared for another evening of laughs and drinks around a small fire.

Up Sunday morning to start packing and removed the batteries from the camper so I can have them charged or if necessary replaced as they appear to be a problem holding charge. Breakfast at a cafĂ© in Jamieson where we paid $18.40 for 2 cappuccinos and 4 slices of toast with jam (NEVER AGAIN)

Asked Linda did she have my phone!! NO, so we looked inside the car only to realise that I must have left it in the trailer when removing the batteries as I took a few pics to make sure get the cabling right we I put them back in, NOT IMPRESSED as now when we get home have to open the trailer!!!

On the way, home the car overheated !!!! all we need 35+ deg and the car overheats in the end we made 5 stops to top up radiator and let the car cool down and took an extra 3 hours !!! but home.
Opened the trailer up to look for phone pulled everything out but NO PHONE, then all of a sudden, I hear” look what I found” in the pocked of the passenger side door was the phone
