Another overnight “swag” @ Mt Alexander approx 30kms outside Bendigo.
Morning started well getting caught behind a vintage car then a “Learner”
driver followed by a detour adding 30 min to the trip on the road into the camp
area.
First time we have been to this camp and actually dove past
the camp area adding another 20 minutes to the trip but arrived to a great spot
where most had already arrived on the Friday and had set up.
Afternoon of campfire laughter, prepared dinner of roast and
pumpkin in the camp oven and potatoes cooked in the coals, gravy and peas &
corn – simply brilliant a great meal followed by hours of camp fire and drinks
getting to be around 11pm.
Woke around 7am a few coffee's back by the fire and a easy pack up
and breakfast on the way home. Another great night out with friends, we will
certainly come back here as was a great location with many wineries in the area
for day trips but next tome with the camper
