Underbool Vic, Normanville SA & Lake Lascelles Vic







Sat 2nd Underbool
                Stayed overnight at a free camp area @ Underbool, basically off the main road in town, relative quite with amenities and power available for up to 4 vans, we arrived too late and enjoyed the evening without power but cold alcohol. On the way stopped at Nullawil & Sea Lake Silo Art’s

Sun 3rd to Wed 6th  Normanville
                Arrived @ Normanville midafternoon site had ocean views and a short walk to beach access a great sun set and taking the dog for walks with a few drinks to finish off the evening

A fair bit of sight seeing around the area Nan Hai Pu Tuo Temple, Sellicks Beach, Aldinga Beach, t HMAS Hobart Memorial lookout, Second Valley. Rapid Bay,  stopped at Cape Jarvis and as we arrived the ferry from Kangaroo Island was disembarking beer at the local Tavern.

Made our way to Goolwa where we had lunch on Hindemarsh Island before making our way back to the van where the weather had closed in and the evening watching  

Thur 7th Lake Lascelles, Hopetoun
                Decided to leave a day earlier then planed due to weather (wind and rian) and made our way to Lake Lascelles, nice spot again windy but at least we were orientated away from the wind, a great spot

Fri 8th Home
                Made our way home via the Mallee Silo Art as well as Rochester Sil art arriving home mid afternoon

Nelligen NSW & Yackandandah Vic



 


Sat 21st
               Our week away commenced as we made our way to Jugiong Showgrounds for a “free camp” overnight with dinner at the Sir George Hotel a ~500m walk from where we set up camp. Nice camp ground with toilets and pay buy honesty box a nice little place, somewhere when we head up the Hume we will stop again

Sun 22nd
               Travelled to Goulburn to see my Mother a little shopping in town and headed to Nelligen arriving early afternoon where Lesley & Greg had already arrived. We had booked an ensuite site right on the river with a built-in fire pits, Caravan park very nice and would be well visited the following week with school holidays in NSW. Into Bunnings for some fire wood  then some beers around the fire

Mon 23rd
               Drove in to a town called “Mogo” (we stayed here about 3 years ago) around 30mins from the Caravan park. Lots of little “trinket” shops in town grabbed a coffee at the local cafe while Linda shopped on the way back called into Batemans Bay

Tue 24th & Wed 25th
               Basically, stayed around the Caravan Park and talked and caught up with Lesley & Greg for the next few days

Thur 26th
               Started to head toward Table Top where we had planned to stay overnight @ Ettamogha Pub but given we were ahead of schedule continued to the Jayco dealer in Albury to check on a few things in the van, called Yackandandah HP to see if we could get in the night earlier which we could so headed straight there. Arrived around 5pm set up camp quick dinner and drinks with some of the people we had planned to stay with over GF weekend

Fri 27th
               Into town for some stuff from the supermarket arrived back where Hutchie & Wendy had arrived a afternoon around talking, snacking and drinking to late a nice little fire

Sat 28th
               Took a drive out to a place called woolshed falls on the way to Beechworth on the way back went looking at some bush camping sites we noticed on Wikicamps but were not really what we were expecting so assume will be the HP when visiting this area

               Afternoon watching the GF, nice dinner on the Webber Q some drinks then an early night


Sun 29th
               Headed home around 9:00am Maccas stop on the way then the afternoon cleaning and unpacking ready for next trip to South Australia in the Melb Cup week
